Fredericton Riverfest 2008

On June 4^th to the 8^th 2008 The St. John River Society will present the Annual Fredericton RiverFest.  Since 2005 RiverFest has celebrated the rich heritage and strong cultural ties Frederictonians have to the St. John River.  Over 8000 visitors and hundreds of volunteers have experienced the fun and enjoyment of RiverFest.

Now in its 4th year, RiverFest is expanding and providing more river fun for all to enjoy.  RiverFest will start on a new day, with a new event: an informative symposium on Wednesday, presented by the Canadian River Institute.  Also new this year, RiverFest is pleased to host the Waterwalker Film Festival. One of RiverFest’s most anticipated events is the Salmon and Fiddlehead Community Supper with live entertainment- back for its third year.  As always, the Rockin’ the River Concert and FREE Family Paddle will highlight the schedule of events.  Back by popular demand is the River Gear Swap, as part of an expanded River Jubilee in Officers’ Square on Saturday afternoon.
